Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu – Bhulbhule – Ngadi (930 m)

Drive by local sharing bus to Bhulbhule and trek to Ngadi.

Day 02: Ngadi – Ghermu (1,130 m)

Trek through traditional villages and scenic NATT trails.

Day 03: Ghermu – Tal (1,700 m)

Continue through beautiful valleys, waterfalls, and mountain villages to Tal.

Day 04: Tal – Timang (2,630 m)

Walk through forests and villages with beautiful views of Mt. Manaslu.

Day 05: Timang – Chame (2,670 m)

A relatively short and pleasant trek to Chame, the main center of the Manang region.

Day 06: Chame – Upper Pisang (3,300 m)

Walk through pine forests and enjoy dramatic mountain scenery.

Day 07: Upper Pisang – Ngawal (3,660 m)

Take the scenic upper route via Ghyaru with spectacular Annapurna views.

Day 08: Ngawal – Manang (3,540 m)

Trek via Braga and visit its traditional village and monastery before reaching Manang.

Day 09: Acclimatization – Ice Lake (4,600 m)

Day hike to Ice Lake for acclimatization and magnificent Himalayan views.

Day 10: Braga – Tilicho Base Camp (4,150 m)

Trek via Khangsar and Shree Kharka to Tilicho Base Camp.

Day 11: Tilicho Lake (4,919 m) – Shree Kharka

Early morning hike to Tilicho Lake, then descend and continue to Shree Kharka.

Day 12: Shree Kharka – Yak Kharka (4,050 m)

Continue gradually through the high Manang Valley.

Day 13: Yak Kharka – Thorong Phedi / High Camp

A shorter day to conserve energy for the Thorong La crossing.

Day 14: Thorong La (5,416 m) – Muktinath (3,800 m)

Cross the spectacular Thorong La Pass and descend to the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath

Day 15: Muktinath – Jhong – Kagbeni (2,810 m)

Trek through traditional villages to the ancient settlement of Kagbeni.

Day 16: Kagbeni – Marpha (2,670 m)

Follow the Kali Gandaki Valley to beautiful Marpha.

Day 17: Marpha – Kalopani (2,530 m)

Continue along scenic trails with impressive Annapurna and Dhaulagiri views.

Day 18: Kalopani – Tatopani (1,200 m)

Descend through forests and villages to Tatopani and relax in the natural hot springs.

Day 19: Tatopani – Ghorepani (2,860 m)

Climb through rhododendron forests and traditional Magar villages to Ghorepani.

Day 20: Poon Hill (3,210 m) – Tadapani (2,630 m)

Early morning hike to Poon Hill for sunrise, followed by a beautiful trek through rhododendron forests to Tadapani.

Day 21: Tadapani – Ghandruk – Pokhara

Trek to the beautiful Gurung village of Ghandruk and drive back to Pokhara.

Recommended Trekking Gear

  • Waterproof trekking boots and lightweight sandals
  • Thin walking socks and trekking trousers
  • Trekking shirts and fleece jacket
  • Lightweight thermal set
  • Warm down jacket
  • Hat with ear covers and neck warmer
  • Lightweight gloves
  • Personal first-aid kit, sunscreen and lip balm
  • Water purification tablets or filtered water bottle
  • Personal toiletries and small towel
  • Trekking poles
  • Sunglasses, preferably polarized
  • Head torch and ear plugs
  • Tissues and wet wipes
  • Camera and necessary chargers
  • Power bank (keep it in your hand-carry bag, not in checked luggage)
  • Light spikes
  • Sleeping bag suitable for around -10 to 15° C
