Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu – Ramechhap | Private 4WD Jeep Drive: approx. 5 hrs

Enjoy a relaxed morning in Kathmandu before driving to Ramechhap by private 4WD Jeep. Overnight in Ramechhap in preparation for the early-morning flight to Lukla.

Day 02: Ramechhap – Lukla – Phakding (2,610 m) Flight & Trek: approx. 4–5 hrs

Take an early-morning flight to Lukla. Meet your guide and porter and begin trekking through the beautiful Dudh Koshi Valley to Phakding.

Day 03: Phakding – Namche Bazaar (3,440 m) Trek: approx. 5–6 hrs

Trek through pine forests, traditional villages, and suspension bridges before reaching Namche Bazaar. After lunch, explore this vibrant Sherpa town and visit the Sherpa Museum and surrounding viewpoints.

Day 04: Acclimatization Day – Khumjung & Kunde Hike: approx. 4–5 hrs

Enjoy a scenic acclimatization hike to the traditional Sherpa villages of Khumjung and Kunde. Explore the villages and monasteries while gradually adapting to the increasing altitude. Return to Namche for the night.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar – Dole (4,200 m) Trek: approx. 6–7 hrs

Follow the scenic Gokyo trail through Mong La and Phortse Tenga, enjoying spectacular views of Everest, Ama Dablam, and the surrounding peaks. There may also be opportunities to spot Himalayan wildlife along the forested trail.

Day 06: Dole – Machhermo (4,470 m) Trek: approx. 4 hrs

A relatively short trekking day allows you to gain altitude gradually. After lunch, enjoy an optional afternoon hike around the hills above Machhermo for beautiful mountain views.

Day 07: Machhermo – Gokyo (4,790 m) Trek: approx. 5 hrs

A spectacular day as you reach the beautiful Gokyo Valley. Trek alongside the Ngozumpa Glacier and pass the first of the sacred Gokyo Lakes before arriving at Gokyo village, beautifully situated beside the turquoise lake.

Day 08: Gokyo Ri & Gokyo Lakes Exploration Hike: approx. 4 hrs

Rise early for the challenging but rewarding hike to Gokyo Ri (5,360 m). Enjoy breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

After breakfast, explore the Fourth and Fifth Gokyo Lakes, if weather, trail conditions, and your energy level allow. The afternoon can remain flexible for relaxation and further exploration around Gokyo.

Day 09: Gokyo – Renjo La (5,340 m) – Lungden Trek: approx. 7 hrs

An exciting and adventurous day! Start early and cross Renjo La Pass, one of the spectacular high passes in the Everest region. Enjoy incredible Himalayan views before descending to the remote village of Lungden

Day 10: Lungden – Thame (3,820 m) Trek: approx. 4 hrs

Descend gradually through the beautiful Thame Valley to the historic Sherpa village of Thame. After lunch, explore the village and visit the local monastery while enjoying the peaceful mountain surroundings.

Day 11: Thame – Namche Bazaar / Manjo Trek: approx. 4–6 hrs

Continue downhill through the Dudh Koshi Valley. Depending on your energy level and trekking conditions, you can stay overnight in Namche Bazaar or continue further down to Manjo.

Day 12: Manjo/Namche – Lukla (2,840 m) Trek: approx. 6–8 hrs

Complete your final trekking day by following the familiar trail back to Lukla. Enjoy a final evening with your guide and porter and celebrate the successful completion of your Gokyo Valley and Renjo La adventure

Day 13: Lukla – Ramechhap/Kathmandu Flight & Drive

During the main trekking seasons, flights between Lukla and Kathmandu generally operate via Ramechhap, followed by a drive of approximately 4–5 hours to Kathmandu. However, depending on the flight schedule and operating conditions, direct Lukla–Kathmandu flights may sometimes be available.
