Mesokanto-La Trek – A Unique Himalayan Adventure
The Mesokanto-La Trek is an exciting journey for trekkers seeking a perfect blend of comfort, wilderness, and adventure. Combining tea house trekking with 2–3 nights of light camping, this route offers an unforgettable experience through some of Nepal’s most spectacular mountain landscapes.
Crossing the Mesokanto-La Pass (5,245 m), the trek rewards you with breathtaking Himalayan panoramas and a visit to the magnificent Tilicho Lake (4,919 m), one of the world’s highest lakes. Along the way, you’ll enjoy diverse landscapes, peaceful alpine valleys, and close-up views of snow-capped peaks.
This is a moderately challenging to difficult trek, suitable for trekkers with good fitness and a spirit of adventure. For safety while crossing the pass, we provide an experienced technical guide along with the necessary climbing equipment for icy sections.
The Mesokanto-La Trek can be enjoyed as a standalone adventure or combined with part of the Annapurna Circuit Trek, the Nar Phu Valley Trek, or even extended into the Manaslu Circuit Trek for an epic Himalayan expedition.
The trek begins from Kathmandu or Pokhara and finishes in Pokhara. After reaching Jomsom, you can either take a scenic flight, drive back to Pokhara, or continue trekking through the beautiful Kali Gandaki Valley.
