Guide Chandi Rai comes from Sankhuwa-sabha situated in north-eastern Nepal. He is 27 years old and single. He has 9 years’ experience in trekking guiding and is licensed by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation & Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management. He is a well skilled massager and plays the bamboo flute magically. He also has the knowledge of trail painting and is a good artist.

He plays the bamboo flute and beats Nepali drums very well. He also has a good knowledge of massage. If you call him, hey Chimps, he will be even happier.

He has good knowledge of trail painting and has been involved many times in new trail research (North Annapurna Base Camp, East Mardi and South Machhapuchre Base Camp etc…) with Prem Rai. He is a trekking guide license holder from the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation & Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management.

Dikendra Rai (DK), from a remote village in Eastern Nepal, has a diverse professional background. He worked as a trekking guide-porter from 2010 to 2014, then as a bartender in Qatar until 2019. Returning to Nepal in 2021 after the pandemic, DK joined Team PNT as a dedicated trekking guide-porter. Known for his discipline, he maintains a clean kitchen and dining area, provides excellent client service, and is physically fit, friendly, loyal, and professional. His choice to abstain from alcohol further reflects his commitment to his work.
